Life According to the Chinese

Why are you working so hard?

On the very first day of the world, God created the cow.He said to the cow: "Ah Gu (cow), today I have created you! Your job is togo to the field with the farmer all day long. You will provide the energy topull things! You will also provide milk for people to drink! You are to workall day under the sun! In return, you will only eat grass. For that, youwill have a life span of 50 years." Ah Gu objected. "What.. I work all dayin the sun and I get only to eat grass! On top of that, I have to give mymilkaway! This is tough and you want me to live 50 years! I'll take 20 and youcan have the remaining 30 years back!" God agreed.

On the next day, God created the dog. He said to the dog. "Ah Kow (dog), Ihave created you for a purpose. You are to sit all day by the door of yourmaster's house! Should anyone come in, you are to bark at them! In return, you will eat your master's leftovers. I'll give you a life span of 20years." Ah Kow objected. " What! I have to sit by the door all day and willneed to bark at people, and what do I get...LEFTOVERS...This isn't right,I'll take 10 and you can have the remaining10 years back!" God agreed again.

On the third day, God created the monkey. He said to the monkey. "Lao Kao(monkey), your job is to entertain people. You will make them laugh, actstupid and make faces! You will also do somersaults and swing on trees toamaze them. In return, you will get to eat bananas and peanuts. For that,I'll give you 20 years to live." Naturally the monkey objected. "This isridiculous,I gotta make faces and make people laugh let not even cometo thepart about the trees and somersaults. Tell you what, I'll give10 years ofmy life to thank you for my existence and I'll take 10.What do youthink?"God agreed again.

On the forth day, God created humans. God said to the man. "You are my bestpiece of work, for that, you will only need to sleep, eat, sleep, play, eat, sleep again and do nothing else. You will get to eat all the best things andplay with the best toys. All you need to do is enjoy all your life. For thiskinda of life, I'll give you 20 years."Just like the rest, the manobjected."What, all I need to do is relax and enjoy myself and I haveonly 20years to live? Tell you what, you've 30 years back from Ah Gu, 10 yearsfromAh Kow and another 10 from Lao Kao and you probably don't know what todo with all those lifes. Why not I take them all and I'll have 70 years tolive?"God being such good natured, agreed with a smile.....

And THAT IS WHY..... We eat, sleep, play and enjoy for the first 20 years ofour lives when we are growing up. Work like a cow for the next 30 to raiseour family. Sit outside the door and bark at people for the next 10 when weare retired. And finally, we make faces and perform monkey tricks toentertain our grandchildren for the final 10 years.GET IT !

Pigs = eat + sleep

Hence, Human = Pigs + work + enjoy

if, Human - enjoy = Pigs + work in other words,

Human that don't know how to enjoy = pigs that work

Pigs = eat + sleep

Hence, Men = Pigs + earn money

Doctor's last word !!!‏

A 20-yr old pretty, sexy and sensual girl went to see a Psychiatrist.

Girl: Doctor, I'm so angry at my boyfriend that I must call him Bastard. I feel that he's gone too far, and he deserves it.

Doc: Hmm? Such a word is strong and rude. But may be you have your own reasons. Tell me about it so that I can help you.

Girl: Yes, thank you, Doctor. There was one night...we parked our car besides the beach and we were alone... and... he held my hand....

Doc: Did he hold your hand like this?

Girl: Yes, Doctor. Exactly like how you're holding it now

Doc: If it's only this, he doesn't deserve to be called Bastard. It means he doesn't want to be separated from you.

Girl: Then, he leaned his body towards me... and hugged me...

Doc: Like this?

Girl: Yes, Doctor. Exactly like how you're doing.

Doc: It's not a Bastard. It means he wanna stay forever by your side

Girl: Then he kissed me..

Doc: Like this?

Girl: Yes, Doctor. Exactly like how you're kissing me.

Doc: If its only a kiss like this, seriously you can't call him Bastard. It means he adores you.

Girl: Then he put his hands inside my clothes and touched my boobs, Doc...

Doc: Like this?

Girl: Yes, Doctor... exactly like that

Doc: It's not behavior of a bastard. It means he wants to protect you.

Girl: Then he took off all my clothes... slowly...

Doc: Did you resist?

Girl: No. I let him do it, coz I love him...

Doc: Did he take off your clothes like this?

Girl: Yes, Doctor. Until I'm completely naked like now......

Doc: He still doesn't deserve to be called Bastard, because it means he wanna learn about your body completely.

Girl: Then he kissed me and put his.... inside me and had sex with me...

Doc: Did he do it just like what we do?

Girl: Yes, Doctor. Exactly the same

Doc: You still can't call him Bastard. It means he needs you.

Girl: But then he told me that he has AIDS. . . . . . . . .

All the staff and patients outside heard the doctor screaming,

BASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRD ! ! !

Hospital Patient

A sweet old lady telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?" The operator said, "I can, what's the name and room number?"

The old laday in her weak voice said, "Norma Findlay, Room 302."

The operator replied, "Let me place you on hold while I check with her nurse."

After a few minutes the operator returned to the phone and said, "Oh, I have good news, her nurse just told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came back as normal and her physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged on Tuesday."

The old lady said, "Thank you. That's wonderful! I was so worried! God bless you!"

The operator replied, "You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"

The grandmother said, "No, I'm Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me shit."

War of In-Laws 2

Casts:

Liza Wang - Ophelia Kwo Bik
Nothing much to say here. She is as usual, wonderful. Still the fiery mother in-law. In this show, her character doesn't deviate much from in the first series. She resorts to underhanded means and is rather self centered, leading to some rather serious consequences. But she was really smart. She knows exactly what to do to get what she wants. Her performance was very enjoyable. I love her accent when she speaks English.
Myolie Wu - Chow Lai Mun
A very good performance put up! Myolie was a pleasure to watch. She portrayed the character very well. Her chemistry with Bosco was wonderful! Myolie's character changes as the show progresses. By the end of the series, you will see some very noticeable changes in her character. At the beginning of the series, she is very happy and outgoing. She is very optimistic and very proactive. She was a little clumsy and seriously didn't know how to dress up. By the end of the show, she tones down a lot. She is a little quieter, more serious. She thinks more about her actions more and is no longer as spontaneous as before. She is also very strong emotionally.
Bosco Wong - Kyle Kwo Duk
Another splendid performance! He was rather cute in this series. His character was like a boy, still not grown up. He is unable to make important decisions and is unable to persevere in the things that he does. Fortunately at the end, he matures and sets his mind to do something without giving up for Myolie's sake.
Joyce Tang - Coco Ko Ka Po
I loved her performance in this series! Very refreshing and different from her other roles. Coco is a person who is a little like Liza. She looks after her own interests and also relies on underhanded means to achieve what she wants. She is not as smart as Liza. She does, however, have a conscience. She is also kind in her own way. I loved all her scenes with Derek!
Benz Hui - But Ping Fan
I love this guy! He is so funny! At first, he is obsessed with revenge until the point that it became his only reason to live. Then later he was given a chance to do an investment column in ELVA and subsequently became famous. It's so funny at the last part when he falls for Liza.
Derek Kwok - CC
This guy was seriously good! He was so good at being a sissy. I really loved watching his scenes with Joyce. And his two daughters were so adorable! I loved that cute music that came on every time they appeared! He was really comical. I loved his performance.
Vivien Yeo - Athena Song Zi Kiu
Nancy Wu - Iris
Eileen Yeow - Carol
Stephen Huynh - Ryan
Synopsis:
Liza is the editor of a very popular magazine, ELVA. Her son, Bosco, works in the same company as a manager of the advertising department. Due to a series of misunderstandings, Liza develops a very bad impression of Myolie, who is a policewoman who always gets herself into trouble. However, Myolie on the other hand, falls for Bosco and starts to woo him. Of course, Liza disapproves of Myolie being with her precious son. Bosco on the other hand, feels very comfortable with Myolie and wants to be with her. So, Liza goes all out to break them up. But, there wouldn't be this show if she had succeeded. Bosco marries Myolie without his mother's knowledge leaving Liza with no choice but to accept Myolie as her daughter-in-law.
Myolie gets super bored staying home all day so she applies to work at ELVA. She got the job by mistake and a lot of funny things happen while she is there. Things start to get a little complicated when Vivien enters the picture. She is Bosco's ex-girlfriend and Liza separated them from each other before they even had a proper chance to be together.
War of in-Laws 1 vs. War of in-laws 2
I know that many people feel that the first series was much better than the second one. However, I feel that in many ways these two series cannot be compared and they both have their good points. One is an ancient series while the other is a modern one. The ancient one was very funny because the actions could be exaggerated. But if the same was done for the modern series, people will say that it's fake and stuff. The good thing about the previous series was that it was funny with a good storyline. The good thing about the second series is the nice clothes! You have to admit that the fashion part was good. Also, I feel that it was a little more emotional towards the end. So, both series are good in their own ways.
I found this series very enjoyable. It was funny, the cast was strong and the chemistry between the actors was wonderful. I would strongly recommend this series for people who love boscolie and want a good laugh. If you prefer sad dramas, this show is also suitable! It gets a little emotional towards the end.

Tin Lik (Myolie Wu) is the daughter of a bandit and she married into the Ling family by coincidence. When she was escaping from guards, she fled to the vehicle that was going to transport the bride. But the real bride had already eloped with another man. Therefore, in order to escape from the guards, Tin Lik had to be the imposer. Stephanie Che as Kwok Shui Lan 郭端嫻
Synopsis:
This drama’s main focus is on two guys [Wing and Don] who are born on the same day, of the same year, [7th August] but have very different personalities. Don is more childish, seems to care more about playing and getting rich the easy way, whereas Wing is more serious, and had a much more difficult life.
We know this through a painter who paints this and also says some very interesting phrases about the two different guys. Both guys meet their future wife on the way into the island, at the vending machine. But with different results initially.
Wing and Yun have some misunderstanding the first time they meet, when she was trying to get a drink from the vending machine but the drink does not come out and then he comes along and manages to get a drink, and she thought that he took her drink but actually hers comes out later.
Whereas Don and Sasa took a liking to each other because he gives her his drink when there were no more left in the vending machine.
Niki and Kevin:
After a few misunderstandings Yun eventually realises that Wing is actually a good guy who is always helping out his friends. And after a few encounters she falls for him.
But at the beginning he was a bit annoying because he did not seem to care much about her, and was a really bad boyfriend, but after August 7th when they started going out officially after she told him to meet under the wishing tree for his birthday and they celebrated together he started to treat her like a proper girlfriend.
Niki and Kevin’s character are very sweet together, the two of them have a very strong chemistry on screen; just seeing them two together just makes you smile.
Natalie and Bosco:
Don originally started dating Sasa because he thought that she was rich but in fact the rich girl was Sasa’s friend. He thought that he can get his “ number one bucket of gold through her” And Sasa went out with Don to get ideas for the anime that she was drawing for work. So they both set out because of advantages for themselves not because of feelings or love. However as life is never so simple, they end up falling for each other. Just then they find out each other’s motive for getting together and subsequently split up, even though they now really have feelings for each other. And then Sasa’s friend the rich girl [Jessie] starts to like Don.
And after some time he starts to date Jessie. But life always messes with you. Don wanted to earn his first bucket of gold at the start of the drama but towards the end he gets the chance to go out with a sweet girl, who is also rich and can get him his first bucket of gold but then it is not how he thought it would be. Because he has already realised that he actually loves Sasa!

Cast:

Bobby Au Yeung as Ko Yin Pok / Tim Sir
Sculpted as the "walking encyclopedia" in the previous "Forensic Heroes", Bobby definitely continued his excellent acting as the all-rounded Tim Sir, yes, pun intended. It is almost unbelievable how the invincible Tim-sir could hypothesize what happened during each case after just merely one glance around the crime scene. Yet Bobby put on such a good performance, that I'm convinced that Tim-sir can do that. And only Tim-sir could do it. I liked the way Tim-sir enlightens the rest of the team with his intelligence and knowledge, merely after listening to the results given by the forensic team. If there really had been a Tim-sir alike in any Forensic Team, then the world would have no more crimes!

Frankie Lam Koo Cham Sam / Sam
Some people say that his acting is stiff, and that he doesn't act with any feelings. But I say that he's perhaps the best person for Sam Koo. He's suave, intelligent, with a hint of sadness in his eyes, especially after his loss of Ding Ding. He's cool when he does the gory job of cutting up corpses, which made the whole process look so attractive. He definitely showed his grief when his fiancée died just before the wedding, and as his tears dropped down his chiseled face, I just wish I could be there to wipe them away!

Kevin Cheng as Yeung Yat Shing / Ivan
Sunny, cheerful, loyal and caring Ivan can probably run for the best boyfriend award. He has no ill intentions, and he's always sincere. Kevin is charming enough to carry off the character, and his laugh is always infectious. He always looked cool in other series, but in this series, it's a little change from his usual cool self, because he is cheerful and likes to crack jokes. His unwavering love for Madam Ma made me envious of Madam Ma, to have someone love you this much.

Charmaine Sheh as Ma Kwok Ying
She's cool, sleek, responsible, yet kind-hearted. She's strong, yet when she cried at the very end, I finally realized that Madam Ma is only human. Charmaine did a great job as Madam Ma, as she always did in recent years. Her acting definitely became much more matured over the years, and she probably is the person who can bring out the spirit of the tough Madam Ma. Initially I was a little put off by her fierce look, but as I strived on with the series, I realized how vulnerable she really is, behind her tough exterior. I have to also commend Charmaine for her excellent crying scenes, no distorted face, no bawling, just quietly weeping. And I cried too, when her tears finally dropped down her cheeks. Just a side note, I felt that the name "Bell" is just too... cute for such a tough Madam.

Yoyo Mung as Leung Siu Yau
I really have to say that Madam Leung should have had a better hairstyle. Shouldn't a highly successful Madam look sleek and cool, like her character back in FH? Instead of that mop of hair that made her look unserious, and incapable of solving the difficult cases? However, I do feel upset that her part had been cut quite drastically by the addition of Madam Ma. She should have been given the credit to use her newly acquired crime psychology to at least help out in some case!

Linda Chung as Lam Ting Ting

Synopsis:

Every clue serves as a silent witness against crime

Bomb disposal expert YEUNG YAT SING (Kevin Cheng) returns from England to visit relatives and he comes across a grenade case by accident. With his tactful and level-headed approach, SING is highly appraised by Senior Chemist KO YIN POK (Bobby Au Yeung) and is being invited to join the Forensic Division. In a little while, SING becomes the division’s rising star. By work, SING gets back in touch with his long-lost best friend KOO CHAK SUM (Frankie Lam). SUM serves as a forensic writer and he is going to get married soon.

Accidentally SUM’s fiancée LAM TING TING (Linda Chung) is killed in an explosion and POK’s police girlfriend LEUNG SIU YAU (Yoyo Mung) also loses the ability of holding a gun in the incident. YAU’s duties are passed to MA KWOK YING (Charmaine Sheh) from the Narcotics Bureau. Both SUM and SING find YING extremely charming with her smart and unfathomable characteristics in case handling.

Integrated the laboratory techniques, logical reasoning and forensic knowledge, the trio strive to fight against crimes tremendously. As they get to know each other more and more, the entangled triangle of love also starts to hinder their working relationships.

Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a summer's day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the winter chills,
In colors on the snowy linen land.

Starry, starry night.
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze,
Swirling clouds in violet haze,
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue.
Colors changing hue, morning field of amber grain,
Weathered faces lined in pain,
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.

For they could not love you,
But still your love was true.
And when no hope was left in sight
On that starry, starry night,
You took your life, as lovers often do.
But I could have told you,
Vincent,
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you.

Starry, starry night.
Portraits hung in empty halls,
Frameless head on nameless walls,
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget.
Like the strangers that you've met,
The ragged men in the ragged clothes,
The silver thorn of bloody rose,
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow.

Now I think I know what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they're not listening still.
Perhaps they never will...

Vincent (Starry Starry Night) - John VanWagoner
If you wander off too far,
my love will get you home.
If you follow the wrong star,
my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself,
lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me,
my love will get you home.

Boy, my love will get you home.
If the bright lights blinds your eyes,
my love will get you home.
If your troubles break your stride,
my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself,
lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me,
my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home.

If you ever feel ashamed,
my love will get you home.
When there's only you to blame,
my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself,
lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me,
my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself,
lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me,
my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home,
Boy, my love will get you home.

Heart of Greed II - Moonlight Resonance

After the success of "Heart of Greed" (2007), TVB brought back the same cast for another round of family drama. This time, instead of abalone, the story is about a family enterprise business of mooncakes. Michelle Mai Shuet takes the role of villainess this time around to stir up the melodramatic action.

Casts:

Ha Yu - Gam Tai Jo

Characteristics: He is easy-going, indecisive, and has his own opinions. He often receives troubles instigated by others. By nature he is filial; he has upmost respect for his mother Lai (Lee Heung Kam). With his wife Hung (Michelle Yim), he is also obedient. His life is controlled by these two women; he doesn’t dare to rebel. With his former wife Hor (Lee See Kei), he forgets their love and is ungrateful. To outsiders, he is someone who is thick-skinned and shameless, a declining “man” who has abandoned his wife and children. In truth, he feels sorry for Hor and doesn’t know where to begin to compensate for her woes. He cares a great deal for his sons and daughters, but doesn’t know how to raise them. He will only put on the appearance of a father.

Lee See Kei - Chung Siu Hor

Characteristics: Her manner is to endure hardships. She deeply loves her family and is affectionate and righteous. After divorcing from Jo (Ha Yu), as a single mother, she had to raise three children and also fill in the role of a “father”. She single-handedly opens up “Ga Ho Yuet Yuen Classic Bakery”, managing everything well and supporting her family. She whole-heartedly wants to maintain a neat and harmonious family. Hor can be seen as a strong and resolute model female.

Michelle Yim - Yan Hung

Characteristics: On the outside she seems gentle and beautiful; in fact, she is a venomous beautiful woman. Her methods are cruel and biting. In the business world she is an out-and-out capable woman. She’s good at concealing her evil thoughts. On the surface she is a good wife and loving mother, but her personality is sinister. Everything is inside of her calculating hands. She’s good at winning people with her deception. Her manner is ungrateful and selfish. For her own benefits she will repay good with evil. She always hates Jo’s (Ha Yu) former wife Hor (Lee See Kei) the most, hating her to the bones.

Susanna Kwan - Chung Siu Sa

Characteristics: Her personality is straight-forward, liking to gossip; she is the classic “evil character”. Her heart is wicked. She especially likes to expose people’s scars. She hates the filthy rich and dislikes the impoverished. Her manner is calculating. She forgets righteousness at the sight of benefits. For the sake of her own benefits, she can betray the most intimate relative beside her. She was born selfish and all of her troubles are caused by her own selfishness. Thick-skinned and shameless, she’s accustomed to displacing her wrongs on others.

Louis Yuen - Yuen Yan Chi

Characteristics: He idles about, eating well and being lazy. He loves to gamble, is greedy for money, greedy for small gains, and greedy to accept undeserved credit. However, he has a sweet tongue and speaks exquisitely and is able to make people happy. He does not have a proper career and fantasizes all day long about being rich.

Moses Chan - Gam Wing Ga

Characteristics: On the surface he is frivolous, boastful, eloquent, business-oriented, always fixated on the stock market, has the countenance of a stock broker, and is careless towards family affairs. In truth, his character is cold on the outside, hot on the inside. He cares deeply about love and has clear distinction between love and hate. He’s full of pride and doesn’t want to depend on Jo (Ha Yu) and Hung’s (Michelle Yim) help. He wants to be self-reliant. His life is heavy on love, but he loves blindly, so he was used by Mei (Kate Tsui). Luckily, in the end he can leave this relationship.

Raymond Lam - Gam Wing Ho

Characteristics: Naturally bright, he is smart and clever. He is deeply loved by Jo (Ha Yu), Hor (Lee See Kei), Lai (Lee Heung Kam), and so on. After Jo and Hor divorced, he became the family’s “Manager Boy”. He dares to undertake burdens and is hot on the outside and inside. He understands that he is the only male in the family and has the responsibility to maintain the family’s integrity.

Tavia Yeung - Suen Ho Yuet

Characteristics: On the outside she is strong, but her heart is actually quite frail; she is a girl who is hard on the outside and soft inside. Hor (Lee See Kei) isn’t Yuet’s birth mother, but the mother who nurtured is bigger than the biological mother. Therefore Yuet is especially grateful to Hor for taking care of her. However, in Yuet’s heart, she cannot bury her “Not a Gam family member” inferior thinking. That is why Yuet whole-heartedly looks for someone who can bring her happiness. She wants to build a true two people world with her boyfriend.

Lai Lok Yi - Gam Wing Yuen

Characteristics: He is competitive, egotistic, and was spoiled since he was little. He is the family’s most educated person. In his family member’s eyes, he is a capable youth. He is dedicated to work. Hung (Michelle Yim) has great aspirations towards him. He helps Hung handle business affairs and is her primary assistant. He is preparing to take over the “Ga Ho Yuet Yuen Bakery” business in the future. He hopes to have big achievements.

Fala Chen - Gam Wing Hing

Characteristics: Kind-hearted, glad to help people, and treats people truthfully. Because she has to use sign language to speak, it’s inconvenient for her to communicate with others. Therefore, she’s introverted and feels inferior. Because she has this disability, Hing is the subject of her family’s loving affections, growing up in a very warm house.

Vincent Wan - Gam Wing Chung

Characteristics: He was spoiled since he was little. He is representative of today’s youth; he has a life goal. He’s afraid of getting into trouble. He’s often unhappy and constantly lives life under Yuen’s (Lai Lok Yi) shadow. He fears being compared with him and this causes him great stress. He’s desolate towards family affairs and his love for his family is weak.

Linda Chung - Yu So Chau

Characteristics: Kind-hearted and treats people genuinely. Since she was young, her feelings with Ho (Raymond Lam) have been good. However, her mother Hung (Michelle) enters into Jo (Ha Yu) and Hor’s (Lee See Kei) marriage, causing them to divorce. Consequently, she was forced to part with Ho. Nevertheless, the two still hold very important positions in each other’s hearts.

Kate Tsui - Lo Ka Mei

Characteristics: She appears gentle, honest, and innocent. Her true character is sinister. She has a scheming heart and is skilled at calculating everything she does and everyone she loves. Every step she takes has passed through careful consideration and planning. In order to meet her goals, she will resort to any measure. She is someone who can even be surpass Hung (Michelle Yim) as a manipulative and conniving woman.

Bosco Wong - Ling Chi Shun

Characteristics: Filled with vitality, has great working manner, and doesn’t adhere to small matters. He is heavy on feelings and righteousness. In love he is single-minded. He is happy to help people. In the hospital he is a model doctor loved by patients and welcomed by colleagues.

Wayne Lai - Nin Tsz Yung

Characteristics: On the surface he is someone who doesn’t have a mind of his own. He is snobby. For money he can be ungrateful. He even ignores the boss/worker feelings he built with Hor (Lee See Kei) for many years and changes his “nest”, going to help Jo (Ha Yu). However, it turns out that the reason Yung does all of this is to provide for his younger sister, who is studying abroad in Britain.

Lee Heung Kam - Sheh Kwan Lai

Characteristics: As the Gam family’s oldest elder, she is subject to respect. She often takes advantage of her seniority. Jo (Ha Yu) doesn’t dare to disobey Lai’s wishes. She doesn’t pay attention to right and wrong, black and white. She holds strong resentments and is petty. She bears a grudge against Hor (Lee See Kei). Towards her grandchildren, she has a gentle side.

Synopsis:

CHUNG SIU HO (Lee Sze Kei, Louise) and her husband KAM TAI CHO (Ha Yu) have been working hard for many years to establish a famous reputation for their Moonlight Cake Shop. However, HO discovers that CHO commits adultery with her best friend YAN HUNG (Yim, Michelle) and she breaks up with him miserably. SA decides to fight for the ownership of their cake shop's brand name in court with HUNG and their relationship with HUNG further deteriorates.

Apart from the cake shop business, HO also spends a lot of efforts on her children. Her oldest son KAM WING KA (Chan Ho, Moses) is not interested in managing the cake shop at all and he indulges himself on stock trading. He also develops an entangling relationship with his cousin LO KA MEI (Tsui Tsz Shan, Kate) and YUET at the same time. On the other hand, HO's younger son WING HO takes up the role of a father in the family and he works hard all the time to earn a living. WING HO loves his childhood friend CHAU (Chung Ka Yan) whole-heartedly but CHAU is in love with the doctor LING CHI SHUN (Wong Chung Chak).

Here comes a time when human nature, family bonds and love are brought to a trail.

Heart of Greed is TVB 2007 highest rated series and I’m currently hooked on to this Hong Kong drama series. I love watching Hong Kong dramas as their story is more realistic and it also lets you learn something new. Heart of Greed shows a rich family selling abalone, and the boss has 2 wives. This serial attracted an average of 2 million viewers in Hong Kong last year, making it the No 1 serial.

Company Dinner - Berbuka Puasa

Last Wednesday, my company had "Berbuka Puasa" Dinner at Luk Yu Tea House, situated at the very trendy Starhill Gallery in Bukit Bintang.

A famous name in Hong Kong, the outlet in Starhill Gallery, is right next to the escalator, encased in a kinda jewel boxlike walls made with glass and metal.

step into another world

start with some braised peanuts

One must give them the thumbs up, as despite the small space, service is excellent and very efficient.

whet your appetite with one peanut each time

My favourite appetizer at the moment is these braised peanuts. These were excellent - huge and not too overcooked. Looked home made since it had bits of black tealeaves mingling with the peanuts. Usually, most restaurants use the canned ones to serve.

fluffy char xiu baos (RM9++)

While waiting for our another boss n his family to come, v ordered some dim sum :D
The essentials of course, were top on the list - fluffy steamed buns filled with chicken char siu. I know the taste is definitely not comparable to the real stuff, but Luk Yu does a very decent version.

crunchy har kaus (RM13.50++)

Another must-have when doing the dim sum - har kau, prawn dumplings. These were not bad.

Luk Yu serves a total of 36 varieties of dim sum, 50 a la carte items as well as an array of desserts and various premium teas.

A meal of dim sum is never complete without a satisfying pot of Chinese tea. All-time favourites such as Jasmine, Oolong, and Chrysanthemum teas are available along with premium teas such as Silver Needle Jasmine, An Xi Guan Yin Wan and Ginseng Oolong. There are also rare premium tealeaves available on the retail rack for the enjoyment of tea lovers in the comforts of their home.

Overall, a nice place to dine and relax. I love the atmosphere of this place, since I get to see the cook and his people in action. Tastewise, not everything is fantastic especially the desserts, which I felt was quite mediocre.
