Hospital Patient

A sweet old lady telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?" The operator said, "I can, what's the name and room number?"

The old laday in her weak voice said, "Norma Findlay, Room 302."

The operator replied, "Let me place you on hold while I check with her nurse."

After a few minutes the operator returned to the phone and said, "Oh, I have good news, her nurse just told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came back as normal and her physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged on Tuesday."

The old lady said, "Thank you. That's wonderful! I was so worried! God bless you!"

The operator replied, "You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"

The grandmother said, "No, I'm Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me shit."

War of In-Laws 2

Casts:

Liza Wang - Ophelia Kwo Bik
Nothing much to say here. She is as usual, wonderful. Still the fiery mother in-law. In this show, her character doesn't deviate much from in the first series. She resorts to underhanded means and is rather self centered, leading to some rather serious consequences. But she was really smart. She knows exactly what to do to get what she wants. Her performance was very enjoyable. I love her accent when she speaks English.
Myolie Wu - Chow Lai Mun
A very good performance put up! Myolie was a pleasure to watch. She portrayed the character very well. Her chemistry with Bosco was wonderful! Myolie's character changes as the show progresses. By the end of the series, you will see some very noticeable changes in her character. At the beginning of the series, she is very happy and outgoing. She is very optimistic and very proactive. She was a little clumsy and seriously didn't know how to dress up. By the end of the show, she tones down a lot. She is a little quieter, more serious. She thinks more about her actions more and is no longer as spontaneous as before. She is also very strong emotionally.
Bosco Wong - Kyle Kwo Duk
Another splendid performance! He was rather cute in this series. His character was like a boy, still not grown up. He is unable to make important decisions and is unable to persevere in the things that he does. Fortunately at the end, he matures and sets his mind to do something without giving up for Myolie's sake.
Joyce Tang - Coco Ko Ka Po
I loved her performance in this series! Very refreshing and different from her other roles. Coco is a person who is a little like Liza. She looks after her own interests and also relies on underhanded means to achieve what she wants. She is not as smart as Liza. She does, however, have a conscience. She is also kind in her own way. I loved all her scenes with Derek!
Benz Hui - But Ping Fan
I love this guy! He is so funny! At first, he is obsessed with revenge until the point that it became his only reason to live. Then later he was given a chance to do an investment column in ELVA and subsequently became famous. It's so funny at the last part when he falls for Liza.
Derek Kwok - CC
This guy was seriously good! He was so good at being a sissy. I really loved watching his scenes with Joyce. And his two daughters were so adorable! I loved that cute music that came on every time they appeared! He was really comical. I loved his performance.
Vivien Yeo - Athena Song Zi Kiu
Nancy Wu - Iris
Eileen Yeow - Carol
Stephen Huynh - Ryan
Synopsis:
Liza is the editor of a very popular magazine, ELVA. Her son, Bosco, works in the same company as a manager of the advertising department. Due to a series of misunderstandings, Liza develops a very bad impression of Myolie, who is a policewoman who always gets herself into trouble. However, Myolie on the other hand, falls for Bosco and starts to woo him. Of course, Liza disapproves of Myolie being with her precious son. Bosco on the other hand, feels very comfortable with Myolie and wants to be with her. So, Liza goes all out to break them up. But, there wouldn't be this show if she had succeeded. Bosco marries Myolie without his mother's knowledge leaving Liza with no choice but to accept Myolie as her daughter-in-law.
Myolie gets super bored staying home all day so she applies to work at ELVA. She got the job by mistake and a lot of funny things happen while she is there. Things start to get a little complicated when Vivien enters the picture. She is Bosco's ex-girlfriend and Liza separated them from each other before they even had a proper chance to be together.
War of in-Laws 1 vs. War of in-laws 2
I know that many people feel that the first series was much better than the second one. However, I feel that in many ways these two series cannot be compared and they both have their good points. One is an ancient series while the other is a modern one. The ancient one was very funny because the actions could be exaggerated. But if the same was done for the modern series, people will say that it's fake and stuff. The good thing about the previous series was that it was funny with a good storyline. The good thing about the second series is the nice clothes! You have to admit that the fashion part was good. Also, I feel that it was a little more emotional towards the end. So, both series are good in their own ways.
I found this series very enjoyable. It was funny, the cast was strong and the chemistry between the actors was wonderful. I would strongly recommend this series for people who love boscolie and want a good laugh. If you prefer sad dramas, this show is also suitable! It gets a little emotional towards the end.

Synopsis:
This drama’s main focus is on two guys [Wing and Don] who are born on the same day, of the same year, [7th August] but have very different personalities. Don is more childish, seems to care more about playing and getting rich the easy way, whereas Wing is more serious, and had a much more difficult life.
We know this through a painter who paints this and also says some very interesting phrases about the two different guys. Both guys meet their future wife on the way into the island, at the vending machine. But with different results initially.
Wing and Yun have some misunderstanding the first time they meet, when she was trying to get a drink from the vending machine but the drink does not come out and then he comes along and manages to get a drink, and she thought that he took her drink but actually hers comes out later.
Whereas Don and Sasa took a liking to each other because he gives her his drink when there were no more left in the vending machine.
Niki and Kevin:
After a few misunderstandings Yun eventually realises that Wing is actually a good guy who is always helping out his friends. And after a few encounters she falls for him.
But at the beginning he was a bit annoying because he did not seem to care much about her, and was a really bad boyfriend, but after August 7th when they started going out officially after she told him to meet under the wishing tree for his birthday and they celebrated together he started to treat her like a proper girlfriend.
Niki and Kevin’s character are very sweet together, the two of them have a very strong chemistry on screen; just seeing them two together just makes you smile.
Natalie and Bosco:
Don originally started dating Sasa because he thought that she was rich but in fact the rich girl was Sasa’s friend. He thought that he can get his “ number one bucket of gold through her” And Sasa went out with Don to get ideas for the anime that she was drawing for work. So they both set out because of advantages for themselves not because of feelings or love. However as life is never so simple, they end up falling for each other. Just then they find out each other’s motive for getting together and subsequently split up, even though they now really have feelings for each other. And then Sasa’s friend the rich girl [Jessie] starts to like Don.
And after some time he starts to date Jessie. But life always messes with you. Don wanted to earn his first bucket of gold at the start of the drama but towards the end he gets the chance to go out with a sweet girl, who is also rich and can get him his first bucket of gold but then it is not how he thought it would be. Because he has already realised that he actually loves Sasa!

Cast:

Bobby Au Yeung as Ko Yin Pok / Tim Sir
Sculpted as the "walking encyclopedia" in the previous "Forensic Heroes", Bobby definitely continued his excellent acting as the all-rounded Tim Sir, yes, pun intended. It is almost unbelievable how the invincible Tim-sir could hypothesize what happened during each case after just merely one glance around the crime scene. Yet Bobby put on such a good performance, that I'm convinced that Tim-sir can do that. And only Tim-sir could do it. I liked the way Tim-sir enlightens the rest of the team with his intelligence and knowledge, merely after listening to the results given by the forensic team. If there really had been a Tim-sir alike in any Forensic Team, then the world would have no more crimes!

Frankie Lam Koo Cham Sam / Sam
Some people say that his acting is stiff, and that he doesn't act with any feelings. But I say that he's perhaps the best person for Sam Koo. He's suave, intelligent, with a hint of sadness in his eyes, especially after his loss of Ding Ding. He's cool when he does the gory job of cutting up corpses, which made the whole process look so attractive. He definitely showed his grief when his fiancée died just before the wedding, and as his tears dropped down his chiseled face, I just wish I could be there to wipe them away!

Kevin Cheng as Yeung Yat Shing / Ivan
Sunny, cheerful, loyal and caring Ivan can probably run for the best boyfriend award. He has no ill intentions, and he's always sincere. Kevin is charming enough to carry off the character, and his laugh is always infectious. He always looked cool in other series, but in this series, it's a little change from his usual cool self, because he is cheerful and likes to crack jokes. His unwavering love for Madam Ma made me envious of Madam Ma, to have someone love you this much.

Charmaine Sheh as Ma Kwok Ying
She's cool, sleek, responsible, yet kind-hearted. She's strong, yet when she cried at the very end, I finally realized that Madam Ma is only human. Charmaine did a great job as Madam Ma, as she always did in recent years. Her acting definitely became much more matured over the years, and she probably is the person who can bring out the spirit of the tough Madam Ma. Initially I was a little put off by her fierce look, but as I strived on with the series, I realized how vulnerable she really is, behind her tough exterior. I have to also commend Charmaine for her excellent crying scenes, no distorted face, no bawling, just quietly weeping. And I cried too, when her tears finally dropped down her cheeks. Just a side note, I felt that the name "Bell" is just too... cute for such a tough Madam.

Yoyo Mung as Leung Siu Yau
I really have to say that Madam Leung should have had a better hairstyle. Shouldn't a highly successful Madam look sleek and cool, like her character back in FH? Instead of that mop of hair that made her look unserious, and incapable of solving the difficult cases? However, I do feel upset that her part had been cut quite drastically by the addition of Madam Ma. She should have been given the credit to use her newly acquired crime psychology to at least help out in some case!

Linda Chung as Lam Ting Ting

Synopsis:

Every clue serves as a silent witness against crime

Bomb disposal expert YEUNG YAT SING (Kevin Cheng) returns from England to visit relatives and he comes across a grenade case by accident. With his tactful and level-headed approach, SING is highly appraised by Senior Chemist KO YIN POK (Bobby Au Yeung) and is being invited to join the Forensic Division. In a little while, SING becomes the division’s rising star. By work, SING gets back in touch with his long-lost best friend KOO CHAK SUM (Frankie Lam). SUM serves as a forensic writer and he is going to get married soon.

Accidentally SUM’s fiancée LAM TING TING (Linda Chung) is killed in an explosion and POK’s police girlfriend LEUNG SIU YAU (Yoyo Mung) also loses the ability of holding a gun in the incident. YAU’s duties are passed to MA KWOK YING (Charmaine Sheh) from the Narcotics Bureau. Both SUM and SING find YING extremely charming with her smart and unfathomable characteristics in case handling.

Integrated the laboratory techniques, logical reasoning and forensic knowledge, the trio strive to fight against crimes tremendously. As they get to know each other more and more, the entangled triangle of love also starts to hinder their working relationships.

Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a summer's day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the winter chills,
In colors on the snowy linen land.

Starry, starry night.
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze,
Swirling clouds in violet haze,
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue.
Colors changing hue, morning field of amber grain,
Weathered faces lined in pain,
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.

For they could not love you,
But still your love was true.
And when no hope was left in sight
On that starry, starry night,
You took your life, as lovers often do.
But I could have told you,
Vincent,
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you.

Starry, starry night.
Portraits hung in empty halls,
Frameless head on nameless walls,
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget.
Like the strangers that you've met,
The ragged men in the ragged clothes,
The silver thorn of bloody rose,
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow.

Now I think I know what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they're not listening still.
Perhaps they never will...

Vincent (Starry Starry Night) - John VanWagoner
If you wander off too far,
my love will get you home.
If you follow the wrong star,
my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself,
lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me,
my love will get you home.

Boy, my love will get you home.
If the bright lights blinds your eyes,
my love will get you home.
If your troubles break your stride,
my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself,
lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me,
my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home.

If you ever feel ashamed,
my love will get you home.
When there's only you to blame,
my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself,
lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me,
my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself,
lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me,
my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home,
Boy, my love will get you home.
